Last few minutes of one of my first games for the 3rds at Lytham, 1-1, 2 minutes to go, short corner against us. Ball hit out, Iwas defending the right hand post, ball switched to my left, I came over to the middle of the goal to cover the goalie, the forward creams a shot into the right hand corner of the goal, I dived full length to my right, made contact with the ball and tipped it round the post for a long. Everyone jumping up and down saying what a great save except Bob Adams who walked over to me, looked me in the eye and said............"That's where you should have been in the first place!" Brilliant! |
